Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are back with a stunning song and video enlisting a few musical greats. "Downtown" is an energetic, funky, old-school cut in which the Macklemore raps about purchasing a moped and cruising with his people. Watch the wacky video above on YouTube.

The Seattle rapper aims to stick out from his fellow rap peers. With songs like "Thrift Shop," praising cheap clothes and "Same Love," supporting gay marriage, he's been in a lane of his own. He continues this trend with "Downtown," as he raps about Mopeds as opposed to other fancy vehicles heralded by most rappers. He spits in the second verse:

Killing the game 'bout to catch a body
Passed the Harley, Dukie own a Ducati
Timbaland, Khaled, Scott Storch, Birdman
God damn man, everybody got Bugattis
But I'mma keep it hella 1987
Head into the dealership and drop a stack and cop a Kawasaki

The video is nothing less then amazing. Macklemore and his West Side Story-like entourage are cruising down the streets of Spokane, WA with rap pioneers Kool Moe Dee, Grandmaster Melly Mel, and Grandmaster Caz, as well as the lead singer of the rock band Foxy Shazam, Eric Nally. Seattle Mariners' Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr also makes an appearance in the video.

"Downtown" serves as the first single to the duo's upcoming sophomore album. We have yet to learn the name of the album or its release date. Earlier this month, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis dropped “Growing Up (Sloane’s Song)” featuring Ed Sheeran as a free download.
