Top Ten Things Foo Fighters Would Like To Say After Spending a Week at the Late Show
The TV debut of the song was impeccable. The band's performance of "Something From Nothing" was marked by stellar musicianship and passionate playing. Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen, who also played on the album version of the track, came out midway through and joined the band for the rest of the song, before Dave Grohl's throat-shredding vocals brought the tune to an epic close.
The Foos also helped Letterman out with a top ten list called "Top Ten Things Foo Fighters Would Like To Say After Spending a Week at the Late Show." The segment was a charming way to end the late night residency and featured a touching moment between guitarist Pat Smear and Late Show announcer Alan Kalter. Watch the hilarious clip above.
